Challenge
Having successfully launched the platform in India, the company committed to expand its presence in the U.S. market. With AI playing an important role in the future vision for the platform, they realized the need to invest more heavily in establishing its machine learning team. They also wanted to develop a more robust data infrastructure and execute their machine learning roadmap.
Prior to their US launch, their CEO made the decision that non-machine learning platform features which had been planned for a later version of the product, would be prioritized ahead of schedule. With severe bandwidth limitations and aggressive go to market strategy, the need to scale their full-stack and mobile team became increasingly important. They looked for an alternative to quickly recruit, on-board, and train talent.
Solution
Quickly integrating the Fuse team and establishing elective communication were the two highest priorities. Fuse engineers were quick to learn their project management, communication, and internal team tools.
The Fuse team quickly began playing a larger role and expanded from 5 engineers to 11 within the first six months. The expanded team continued to work on core initiatives including the development of their mobile app. To ensure a smooth expansion, Fuse sent two of the new engineers on-site to their HQ.
Fusemachines remains a key Partner. In parallel to supporting their team to build out new components of its core platform, data infrastructure, and mobile app, Fuse PhDs worked with the to lay the foundations of their machine learning infrastructure.
